Ahmed Badawi, a member of Parliament from Qalyubia Governorate, said that he had been at the scene of the accident since the beginning of the incident, confirming that the ambulance was present within 10 minutes of the accident.
Badawi added, in a phone call to the “Al-Hekaya” program, presented by Amr Adib on the “Watch” platform, this evening, Sunday, that the governorate has an excess of blood bags, commenting: “We have an extra 150 kilos of blood.”
He confirmed that the reason for the train capsizing is not known yet, adding: “When I walked on the railway line, the tracks were found broken, and I told the whole team the minister about that.
The member of Parliament clarified that the cases in Benha University and Education Hospital and Qalioub are stable, stressing that the situation is generally stable in all hospitals so far.
Qalyubia governorate witnessed a new accident of railway trains, this afternoon, Sunday, when train No. 949 heading from Cairo to Mansoura left its tracks and overturned, at exactly two oclock five minutes, near Toukh railway station.
