The Israeli occupation army said that sirens sounded in Sderot in the Gaza envelope area, amid reports that the city was targeted by a missile from the Gaza Strip.

The Sderot municipality said in a statement that a missile fired from the Gaza Strip landed in an open area outside Sderot, according to the Palestinian Maan News Agency.

A spokesman for the occupation army announced, on Thursday evening, that a rocket-propelled grenade had been fired from the Gaza Strip towards the cover settlements.

“It is a follow-up to the reports of warning sirens sounded in the Sderot area and the Gaza envelope, so the talk is about monitoring the firing of a shell,” he added.

And warning sirens sounded this evening in the settlements around the Gaza Strip.

A spokesman for the occupation army said, “The warning sirens were sounded in Sderot, in the environs of Gaza.”
