Al-Ahly dropped their traditional rivals Zamalek (2-1) in the match that took place between them on Sunday evening, which was postponed from the fourth round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Al-Ahly striker Mohamed Sharif scored the lead for the red giant, at the 21st minute of the first half.
Zamalekawi striker Mahmoud Abdel-Razek Shikabala scored a draw for the White Knight, by the 31st minute, with a global goal scored by a missile that did not stop or respond to the left scissors.
But Mohamed Sharif returned and put Al-Ahly in the lead again by scoring the second personal goal for him and his team, in the 35th minute of the match, which was held at Cairo International Stadium.
Al-Ahly achieved its third victory in a row, raising its tally to 30 points, which it won from 12 games, and occupying second place in the ranking table, reducing the difference to 3 points between it and leaders Zamalek, who played three more matches.
