Journalist Omar Rabie Yassin revealed that a decision had been issued by the Ministry of Youth and Sports within hours to form a new committee to manage Zamalek.
Omar confirmed in statements on the “Number One” program on Al-Nahar TV that the committee is composed of a financial director, an executive director and a director of sports activity, indicating that Hussein Labib will be the executive director, Tariq Hasheesh, a financial director, and Dr. Hussein Al-Samri, a sports activity director.
He indicated that an executive committee will be formed from some football stars to manage the file of the first football team, and among the candidates is Dr. Mahmoud Saad.
He stressed that the door will be opened for candidacy during next July, provided that the elections will be held no later than September.
Ahmed Abdel Maqsoud, assistant coach of the Zamalek team, also stressed the importance of the MCA match scheduled for tomorrow at the July 5 stadium in the fifth round of the group stage matches of the African Champions League, and stressed that there is a focus of the team’s players to win tomorrow.
He added that all the players are in very good physical and technical condition, and there is a state of optimism within the camp to achieve a positive result and return with the three points to uphold the hope of qualifying for the quarter-finals of the tournament.
The assistant coach stressed the difficulty of the match, but confirmed his confidence in the ability of the Zamalek players to overcome the obstacle of the Algerian champion.
