It added that it had bombed with 120 missiles the Gush Dan area and Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, in response to the targeting of residential buildings and civilian facilities in the Gaza Strip.
Israeli media said that warning sirens sounded in Tel Aviv, Beersheba, and a number of settlements around the Gaza Strip, in conjunction with the Palestinian rocket fire.
The Israeli army resumed the policy of bombing large buildings and facilities in the Gaza Strip, targeting the Al-Jawhara Tower, which houses the headquarters of Arab and local press institutions, hours after the bombing of the “Hanadi” tower, west of Gaza City.
The Israeli shelling destroyed the 16-storey tower, while dozens of buildings and houses surrounding it were damaged by the shelling, which was about seven missiles.
