Data released by the Automobile Market Information Council (AMEC) revealed that the total sales of the auto market in the first quarter of 2021 reached 69,221 units, with a growth of 30.7% year-on-year.
The “angel” passenger car sector, both domestic and imported, succeeded in leading the Egyptian car market towards growth during the first three months of this year, as its sales increased by 37%, registering 50,700 cars, compared to 37,018 cars during the same period last year.
The Chinese auto sector in Egypt recorded a growth of 98%, according to AMEC, after the total sales of brands belonging to the Chinese dragon reached 10,542 cars.
MG and Chery brands dominated most of the centers, as 5 cars bearing the name “MG” were on the list, while “Chery” came with 4 cars, and one car for “BYD”.
