Journalist Ahmed Moussa said that the Turkish delegation to Cairo will arrive in Cairo at dawn on Wednesday to start political consultations.

Moussa hoped that the visit would be the beginning of a correction of the speech and language of the Turks towards the Egyptian state in light of a Turkish desire to restore relations.

He added that this visit is a kind of clear acknowledgment and recognition of the Egyptian state, the June 30 revolution, the July 3 statement, President El-Sisi, and all the institutions of the Egyptian state.

And he continued in his program on “Echo of the Country” that Cairo will witness the first official meeting in 8 years between Egypt and Turkey tomorrow, and the Foreign Ministry issued a clear statement.

He added that relations were not severed between Egypt and Turkey, and there were commercial and economic relations, and an Egyptian diplomatic mission was in Turkey, and on the other hand, a Turkish mission was present in Egypt despite the huge problems.

He explained that Egypt dealt with the spirit and strength of the Egyptian state over the past 8 years and did not offend Turkey at the official level. We were in the media to respond and talk, but the state dealt with the principles.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding the Egyptian-Turkish talks and said: Political consultations between Egypt and Turkey to normalize relations headed by Ambassador Hamdi Sanad Loza, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, and Ambassador Sadat Onal, Deputy Turkish Foreign Minister, from 5 to 6 May 2021 in Cairo.

The statement added, “The exploratory discussions focus on the necessary steps that may lead to the normalization of relations between the two countries at the bilateral level and in the regional context.”
