Al-Badri congratulated the board of directors, members of the club and its large fans on the occasion of this historic event and the unprecedented step for the club to start the procedures for building the stadium, explaining that this is a great work that is calculated for the current board of directors to achieve this precious dream for all fans of the Red Castle.
Al-Badri confirmed his personal appreciation to the Board of Directors of Al-Ahly Club and the rest of the members for this kind gesture by inviting him as one of the sons of this entity in which he spent all his life as a junior, player and coach in all its sectors, and technical director of the first team.
A number of Al-Ahly club players, including Mohamed El-Shennawy, Walid Suleiman, Saad Samir and Ayman Ashraf, were keen to attend the foundation stone laying ceremony for Al-Ahly Stadium in Sheikh Zayed, and the ceremony began laying the foundation for Al-Ahly Club Stadium.
