Al-Kaf sings Al-Ahly’s record in the Champions League, describing it as “gigantic”

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) praised Al-Ahly’s historic achievement by qualifying for the CAF Champions League semi-finals for the seventeenth time in its history as the most-appearing club in this role in the history of the continental tournament.

Al-Ahly qualified for the semi-finals of the African Champions League at the expense of Mamelodi Sun Downs, after winning 2-0 in the first leg and a 1-1 draw in the second leg that took place between the two teams on Saturday night in South Africa.

Al-Kaf wrote through his official account on the social networking site “Twitter” after the match: “Al-Ahly is in the semi-finals of the African Champions League for the 17th time! The most gigantic of all.

Historically, Al-Ahly qualified for the semi-finals 17 times, the most recent of which is the current season. In the previous 16 times, Al-Ahly succeeded in crossing into the final 13 times, achieving the continental title 9 times and failing 4 times, while not reaching the final only 3 times.

In the semi-final round, Al-Ahly is waiting for the winner of the Esperance match and the Algerian youth Belouizdad.
