Alaa Abdel-Al, coach of Aswan Club, expressed his great happiness at the team’s qualification to the semi-finals of the Egypt Cup, after defeating Al-Masry Al-Borseidi team 5-4 on penalties after the end of the original and additional time with a positive tie with two goals for their ideals at Alexandria Stadium.
Abdel-Aal said, in televised statements: “We played a big match against Al-Masry, one of the sides of the Golden Square of the General League, and we succeeded in returning after being late with two goals, and the first goal of Al-Masry, scored by our player Ahmed Al-Saghri, was a clear infiltration and I do not know how it was calculated.”
Abdel-Aal concluded: “We overcame fatigue during this match, after we returned from Alexandria after the last Alexandrian match, and then traveled again and confronted Al-Masry, who plays all his matches at the Alexandria Stadium, and this is one of the factors that the Port Said team greatly benefit from, and we are We will play two friendly matches during the break, in order to prepare well for the next match against Zamalek in the 26th round of the General League.”
Al-Masry advanced with two clean goals, scored by Ahmed Al-Saghri, defender of the southern team, in the 18th minute, and Islam Salah, defender Al-Masry, added the second goal for his team in the 49th minute. For 15 minutes over two halves, it ends in a draw as well.
