The technology company Apple announced that it will reduce the production of its AirPods by about 25% to 40%, according to a report issued by Nikkei Asia, but the report did not clarify which model AirPods will receive this treatment, which are the AirPods, AirPods Pro or AirPods Max that are placed over the ear.

The reason for this is allegedly a drop in sales of the tech giant’s popular true wireless earphones due to increased competition in the true wireless earbuds category, while the report says, based on input from knowledgeable people, Apple will focus on producing about 75 to 85 million units only. Of AirPods for the remaining year, when it was pre-planning 110 million units.
