The Board of Directors of Al-Ahly Club, headed by Mahmoud Al-Khatib, approved the resignation of Ashraf Tawfiq from the technical management of the men’s basketball first team and its auxiliary apparatus.
Ashraf Tawfiq had decided to resign from his post after losing to Al Ittihad of Alexandria in the Egyptian Cup final, with a score of (78-76).
The official Al-Ahly website stated that the club’s board of directors thanked Ashraf Tawfiq and his auxiliary apparatus for the last period they spent on the responsibility site.
The Board assigned Raouf Abdel Qader, Director General of the Sports Activity Department, to nominate the alternative and present it to the Board of Directors within the next 48 hours.
Al-Ahly is preparing in the coming period to complete the Super League matches, as the red team is scheduled to face Al-Ittihad of Alexandria in the semi-finals.
The final match will be held between the winner of the Al-Ahly match and Al-Ittihad of Alexandria, and the winner of the second match, which brings together Zamalek and Al Jazeera.
