Zamalek coach Patrice Carteron considered that his team’s player, Tarek Hamed, was sent off in the Al-Masry match in the 24th round of the Premier League tournament as an opportunity to rest.
In statements to “On Time Sports 1”, Carteron said: “Tariq Hamed is one of the best players for the team, and expulsion is an opportunity to rest for two matches, because he does not like rest.”
Tariq Hamed was discharged after a violent intervention without a ball against the Al-Masry player, in a meeting in which Zamalek won a difficult 3-2 victory in the last minute of the match.
Patrice Carteron added: “We are trying to give the players the appropriate rest during our stay at the hotel. We seek to give the players the necessary information, in order to enter the matches in the best condition.”
The Zamalek coach ended: “I am happy with the enthusiasm of the team that appeared in front of Al-Masry. There are technical and enthusiastic matches, and today’s match was enthusiastic and full of emotions, and winning it makes me happy.”
