Al-Masry had qualified for this round after defeating his counterpart, Tala’a El-Gaish, 3-1 in the round of 16, while Aswan snatched the transit card for the same league after beating El-Gouna with a 1-0 win.

The Al-Masry team took the first goal in the 18th minute, after Ahmed Al-Saghiri, the Aswan player, accidentally scored in his own net, following a cross from the right side that the player tried to disperse, but he hit it in the net of his team by mistake.
Al-Masry coach Ali Maher decided the player Islam Attia after the exit of the player Saeed Sambouri in the 43rd minute.
The referee issued the yellow card in the 45th minute in the face of Mohamed Osama, the Aswan player, after he objected to not awarding a penalty kick in favor of his team.
The crossbar countered a direct free kick and the ball fell into the penalty area, so Islam Salah ran and shot again to land the ball past the Aswan goalkeeper in the 50th minute.
In the 89th minute, Amr Reda scored a goal that narrowed the difference for Aswan, before Ashraf Magdy scored the equalizer for Aswan in the 90+4 minute.
