Fathallah: Pyramids are the team most affected by the pressure of matches


Mahmoud Fathallah, the general coach of the Pyramids team, said that his team suffers the most from the pressure of matches during the current season at the local and continental level.

Fathallah added, through statements via the club’s media center, that the team has so far fought 29 matches in all tournaments, namely the League and the Egypt Cup in addition to the Confederation Cup, to be the most competitive Egyptian teams this season.

Fathallah stressed that Pyramids played 18 games in the Egyptian We League championship, where he succeeded in winning 7 matches, lost two matches and tied in 9 matches, to be one of the most competitive clubs despite his participation in the Confederation Cup as the sole representative of Egyptian football, such as Al-Ahly in the Champions League.

Fathallah confirmed that the team played 10 matches in the Confederation Cup, two more matches than Al-Ahly, as Pyramids participated in two matches in the 32nd round and two games in the 32 supplementary round, in addition to 6 games in the group stage before qualifying for the quarter-finals of the tournament for the second time in a row.

Fathallah stressed that Pyramids are the only team that played 3 consecutive matches outside their home country, locally and continually, in 7 and was in front of Al-Mahalla in Al-Mahalla on April 17th before the Nkana match outside Egypt on the 21st in the Confederation in Zambia before returning to Cairo on the 22nd, and then the team traveled on the 23rd to Alexandria to meet Alexandria Union League.

The coach praised the team members who bear responsibility and compensate for absences due to the great pressure of the matches.

Fathallah concluded his remarks by confirming that the team is currently focusing on the Zamalek match on Sunday evening and Sunday, stressing that it is a special match against a strong and large team.
