Abdul Hafeez said on Al-Ahly channel: “Sundowns is a very strong and big team, and we must prepare well for the return match that will determine the semi-final qualifier.”
He added, “We are playing against the same team in the same round for the third time in a row, and of course they play against us and they have great motivation and football and you should also play against them with the same focus.”
“We have a group of players who are still young and will get more experience, and there are matches that need a great player who knows when to stand on the ball and knows well the value of timing and location on the field, and this group of players will gain more experience.”
He concluded his remarks, “Hamdi Fathy and Ali Maaloul will undergo x-rays before traveling with the team to South Africa, in preparation for the African Super Cup in Qatar after facing the Sundowns.”
Al-Ahly will play the Sundowns next Saturday in the rematch in South Africa.
