The Zamalek men’s basketball mission left Cairo Airport this evening, Tuesday, for Rwanda to participate in the African Club Championship under the auspices of the NBA.
Zamalek represents Egypt among 12 clubs participating in the first edition of the African Championship under the auspices of the NBA.
The tournament will be held in Rwanda with the participation of 12 African teams from 26 matches inside a health bubble to prevent an outbreak of the Corona virus among the participants from 16 to 30 May.
Zamalek is located next to the Senegalese Dawn Clubs, the Algerian Petroleum Complex, and Mozambique’s Ferrero Fero.
The team’s mission includes 13 players, namely: Haitham Al-Saharti – Mustafa Kejo – Omar Hisham – Anas Osama – Ahmed Hatem – Ahmed Yasser – Mohab Yasser – Mustafa Mashaal – Islam Salem – Walter Hodge – Maliku Diabte, Michael Fakuda, Shenmilio Alona
The Spanish team is led by Auguste Bush as a technical director, with the support of Yasser Abdel Wahab as a general coach and Samir Judeh as coach.
The first and second of each group, in addition to the two best third-placed teams, qualify for the quarter-finals.
The quarter-finals are held with the knockout system, then the semi-finals and finally the final match.
