Fernando also scored against Celta Vigo and Real Sociedad, respectively, his first two goals this season.
Fernando, 33, is a key piece in coach Julien Lopetegui’s formation since joining Sevilla from Galatasaray in the summer of 2019 for 4.5 million euros.
Fernando previously played for Porto, and wore the Manchester City shirt for 3 seasons between 2014 and 2017.
Fernando is the second player to win the Sevilla Footballer of the Month award this season, after his Moroccan colleague Youssef Nassiri in January.
Rather, Fernando is the first Brazilian to win the award since Neymar Jr., in Barcelona jersey in November 2015.
