Arsenal player Mohamed El-Nani expressed his happiness after scoring his first goal in the English Premier League.

Al Nene scored a goal in Arsenal’s victory over Newcastle with two goals in the 19th round.

“We needed match points before Thursday’s confrontation (against Villarreal), we know the importance of this match for us, and today we harvested the match points outside our stadium, and we played in a way that gives us confidence to play on Thursday the way we want,” Al-Nini told his club’s official website.

And about his first goal in the English Premier League, “I was dreaming about him, I was thinking a lot and wanted to score in the English Premier League, after I scored in the Champions League and European League, because the competition is very special for me.”

He revealed, “I was asking my colleagues to pray for me to register in the Premier League.”

“I am very happy with my goal and more happy to get match points,” he added.

Regarding the celebration of his goal by the Nani colleagues, he said: “The way they celebrated made me happier. When you see the love from everyone, you feel grateful, I am very happy.”

And about the team staying together for several days in Spain after the Villarreal match, he said: “I think this helped us a lot. This is the atmosphere between us, and when we were in Spain we were able to talk together. We have the energy and everyone has the ability to direct.”

And he continued, “This is a wonderful thing and a great idea from Mikel (Arteta) to be together. This is a great way for us to share ideas and talk about the future and the upcoming matches, and this is what reflected on the Newcastle match.”

“Now we are putting all our focus on Thursday’s match, everyone knows how important it is to us and we are ready for it.”

And he concluded, “We will fight and give everything in order to reach the final match.”

Arsenal will play Villarreal in the second leg of the Europa League semi-final, next Thursday.

Arsenal lost in the first leg with two goals to one and needed to win one without response or two goals difference to qualify for the final match.
