A source within the organizing committee of the African Super Championship revealed that there is a tendency within the committee to hold the match in the presence of the masses.

Al-Ahly will play against RS Berkane of Morocco in the African Super Cup next Friday in the Qatari capital, Doha.

The match will be held at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium of Qatar’s Al Sadd Club.

A source within the organizing committee said the match “The committee is awaiting the decision of the Qatari Ministry of Health to determine the attendance rate of the masses in the African Super.”

He added, “This comes due to the recent reduction of the closure restrictions for the State of Qatar after the decrease in the number of cases of Coronavirus, which will be applied on May 28, which is match day.”

He continued, “The date for the start of the reduction of restrictions may be brought forward tomorrow, Sunday, May 23 instead of May 28, and with the easing of the closure restrictions, the intention is to allow the attendance of the masses with the implementation of the Qatar Ministry of Health protocol.”

He concluded his remarks, “It is expected that within the next few hours, the final decision and the procedures to be followed for the attendance of the masses will be announced, with specifying the categories that will be allowed to attend the confrontation.”

In the previous World Cup in Qatar, fans were allowed to attend the World Cup in Qatar, in which Al-Ahly participated, by 30% of the capacity of the tournament stadiums.
