The matches, in the 22nd and 23rd rounds, were scheduled to take place on May 18 and 25, respectively.
Al-Ahly asked to postpone the two matches until the competition was suspended in order for the Olympic team to gather to participate in the Tokyo Olympics, due to its continental links.
The suspension period for the Olympic team comes from July 7 to August 8.
The Egyptian Federation referred Al-Ahly’s request to the Competitions Department to study the new appropriate dates for the two matches and to fulfill the necessary approvals.
Al-Ahly ranks second with 37 points, three points behind Zamalek, and has two postponed matches.
Al-Ahly will play its next match against Ghazl El-Mahalla tomorrow, Monday, in the 19 round matches.
The Football Association had announced the date of the matches for the remainder of the league season and confirmed that there is no intention to postpone any match unless the club agreed to go into a period of suspension of the Olympic team without its players in the national team.
