I wrote – Samah Muhammad:

Dr. Magdy Ashour – the scientific advisor to the Mufti of the Republic and Secretary of Fatwa at the Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa – received a question saying: “Is it permissible to make up fasts of Ramadan and the six days of Shawwal with one intention?” Then his eminence answered that it is permissible.

Ashour continued through one of the direct broadcasts of the Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa on its official Facebook page that fasting the six days of Shawwal begins on the second day of the blessed Eid al-Fitr, not from the first day, and if it is better to follow the noble prophetic hadith on the authority of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, may God be pleased with him that The Messenger of God He said: “Whoever fasts Ramadan and then follows it with six Shawwal, it will be like fasting forever.” Narrated by Muslim.

The advisor to the mufti asserted that after the end of Ramadan and the beginning of the second day of the Eid, the Muslim fasts the sixth day of Shawwal, and with this the great reward that came from the noble Prophet’s hadith will be obtained, and it is also permissible to fast from the second day of the Eid by compensating for fasting and following it with the six days of Shawwal because its fasting is extended until the end of Shawwal, and also it is permissible to fast By spending the days of Ramadan associated with the six days of Shawwal with one intention, and all of them are acceptable, God Almighty willing.
