Jordan denounced the Israeli police harassment of Christians in the vicinity of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem.
The Jordanian Foreign Ministry published a statement on Twitter, saying: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs condemned the Israeli police harassment of Christians in the vicinity of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in occupied Jerusalem.”
The spokesman for the Jordanian Foreign Ministry, Dhaifallah Al-Fayez, said: The Kingdom condemns and rejects the Israeli police obstructing the arrival of Christians to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher to participate in the Holy Saturday celebrations, and attacking a number of them.
Today, Saturday, the Israeli security forces attacked dozens of Christian worshipers at Bab Al-Jadid and inside the alleys of the Old City, near the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in occupied East Jerusalem. This was during their attempt to reach the church to celebrate the “Sabbath of Light” feast.
