Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho said he would “wait for a return to football”, after he was sacked from coaching Tottenham Hotspur last April.
The 58-year-old was sacked after 17 months in office, following a poor second half of the season, in which Tottenham dropped from the top of the Premier League to seventh.
Mourinho will work as a sports analyst during the Euro 2020 tournament this summer.
Mourinho said: “I have no plans. I am moving on with my normal life. I feel refreshed. I feel calm. I am on vacation.”
He added to the Times magazine, “I have more time to do my homework.”
“I will wait to return to football. Not just for the right club but for the right culture. Maybe next season will be premature, we’ll see.”
During this season, Mourinho – who previously coached Chelsea, Manchester United, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Porto – suffered 10 league defeats in one season, for the first time in his coaching career.
