Learn about Al-Ahly’s absences in front of the Sundowns in the African Champions League


Al-Ahly team will host its South African counterpart Mamelodi Sundowns next Saturday night, in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the African Champions League this season 2020-2021.

The match between Al-Ahly and Sundowns will start at nine oclock in the evening Cairo time, and ten oclock in the evening Mecca time, at the “Al-Ahly WE Al-Salam” stadium in the first leg of the African Champions League quarter-finals.

Al-Ahly club loses the efforts of some of its players in the Sundowns match due to injuries, as Tunisian Ali Maaloul is absent due to an injury to the posterior muscle that has kept him out of the stadiums since last February.

Hamdi Fathy will also miss the Al-Ahly and Sundowns match, due to his broken arm, while Saad Samir will be absent due to his connective muscle injury.

The absence of the duo Mohamed Mahmoud and Karim Nedved, who have long been away from the stadiums, continues.
