Khaled Eid, the technical director of Ghazl El Mahalla club, confirmed that he told his players that they should not be afraid of facing Al-Ahly before the start of the meeting that brought them together on Monday evening.
In statements to Ontime Sports, Eid indicated that Al-Ahly coach Pitso Mosimani helped him implement his method due to the payment of four attackers during the second half of the match.
Eid said: “I told the players before the match that any player among them is afraid of facing Al-Ahly, let him go, and there will be no problem, and I will rest him.”
He continued: “I told the players on the break that Al-Ahly would attack in the second half and that we should take advantage of that. My season helped me a lot when he played with four attackers.”
He concluded: “At that time, the midfield became completely empty in front of our players, and if we had high speeds, we would have succeeded in scoring other goals at Al-Ahly.”
