The new coach of Roma, Jose Mourinho, has offered his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo to join the Italian capital’s team if he leaves Juventus.

According to the Italian network “SportMediaset”, Mourinho contacted Ronaldo amid rumors of his departure from Juventus, noting that the Portuguese coach suggested to his compatriot the option of joining the Roma club.

And the Italian newspaper “La Gazzetta dello Sport” reported that Ronaldo asked his agent, Jorge Mendes, to hold talks with Paris Saint-Germain, after Massimiliano Allegri returned to Juventus, who does not have a special relationship with Ronaldo.

Juventus officially announced the return of Allegri to the team, two years after his departure, to succeed Andrea Pirlo.

On Tuesday, the Italian club Roma announced its official contract with Jose Mourinho, to take over the technical task of the team, starting from next season.

Roma said through the club’s official account on Twitter: “The club is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Jose Mourinho to be the new coach of the team starting from the next season 2021-2022.”

For his part, Mourinho said through his account on “Instagram”, that he “looks forward to victories with Roma,” noting that the amazing passion of Roma fans “made him accept the team’s coaching.”

“I can’t wait to start next season,” he added.
