South African Betsu Musimane, coach of Al-Ahly club, praised the historic step and laying the foundation stone for Al-Ahly Club Stadium, indicating that his team will fight to become the best.
Mahmoud Al-Khatib, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Ahly Club, in the presence of the members of the Council, the cornerstone of Al-Ahly Club in the Sheikh Zayed branch, in the presence of Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Assem Al-Jazzar, Minister of Housing, and Major General Ahmed Rashid, Governor of Giza, and in the presence of all Al-Ahly leaders and symbols, heads and members of the boards of directors Ex-players, first-team players throughout generations, and representatives of current club sectors.
“The dream has become a reality for Al-Ahly fans. It is a great moment for everyone, everyone was waiting for that moment,” Pitso Mosimane said in statements on Al-Ahly channel.
“This event shows that Al-Ahly is not only big because of its popularity, but because there is a vision for the future and building a new stadium like the world’s top clubs, which is important for marketing and advertising, is great for future generations,” he added.
He stressed, “It is a great honor to be present for that moment.”
And he continued, “We in Al-Ahly do not complain of anything. We must deal with all matters. Yes, there is a great pressure of matches, especially when we are in the month of Ramadan, which we definitely respect and its rituals.”
He concluded, “We lost focus in the last minutes of the El Gouna match. Sure, whatever happens for a reason, we must learn, we have not presented the best yet, but we will become the best. We are a good team and the future is better. We must fight, we are Al-Ahly.”
Al-Ahly tied recently against El-Gouna with a goal for each team in a postponed match from the 16th round of the Premier League competition.
