Mostafa Mourad Fahmy, former general secretary of the Confederation of African Football, confirmed that the step to establish the Al-Ahly stadium is a big thing, indicating that he will not run for the Red Club elections or the Egyptian Football Association elections.
Mustafa Murad Fahmy said in statements to the “Match” program on the “Echo of the Country” channel: “Al-Ahly’s board of directors headed by Mahmoud Al-Khatib is achieving great successes, and the step for Al-Ahly to have a stadium is a very important step, and the council thanked us for a nice gesture, but the council is the one who deserves thanks.” .
He added, “God willing, the stadium is worthy of the name of Al-Ahly club and becomes like the German stadium of Bayern Munich or the Italian Juventus, and when the elections in Al-Ahly end, we wish the winner success. If the loser cannot help, then he wishes success to the winner, and this is what we learned in Al-Ahly.”
CAF’s previous secretary concluded his remarks: “I do not think that I will run for the Al-Ahly or the Football Association elections. There are new generations that deserve to take over the administration for the next period.”
