American talk show host Oprah Winfrey recently announced the airing of the mental health TV series she prepared with Prince Harry this month after reports of the project being delayed.
The series, which focuses on “mental illness and mental wellness,” has been in production for a number of years, and was mentioned by the 67-year-old Oprah during a two-hour interview with the Duke and Duchess of Sachs, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
According to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”, Oprah spoke about him again, during an interview on “The Drew Barrymore” this week, alongside American psychiatrist Dr. Bruce De Berry, who will also participate in the series, saying: “I just want to say that Dr. Berry and I have also been for the past two years alongside Prince Harry and the (Apple) company, working on this mental health series that will be released in May. ”
Prince Harry is credited with this work as co-partner, co-creator and executive producer of the yet to be titled series.
It was first announced in April 2019. A report published by the British newspaper “The Sun” in January indicated that this series was originally scheduled to broadcast in the fall of 2020, but restrictions imposed due to “Covid 19” and Harry’s exit from the family. The owner and his move to the United States with Meghan Markle slowed the production.
Oprah had revealed that she had brought the idea to Prince Harry in an interview with Gayle King in 2019 during a debate on global issues.
