Queen Elizabeth, the 95-year-old Queen of Britain is seen jubilantly checking Prince Philip’s horses and carriages in the yard of Windsor Castle alongside her staff this morning, days after she returned to work after her husband’s funeral.

The Queen, who had been a horse lover and breeder of thoroughbred racehorses throughout her reign, wore a raincoat for the occasion.
The apparition comes days after her first public participation since the funeral of her husband, Prince Philip.
The queen appeared in high spirits despite the rain
Earlier today, the 95-year-old Queen was spotted behind the wheel while she was heading out into the grounds in Windsor to inspect the animals.
Despite the downpour, the queen walked through the grass to inspect the horses along with her crew members, and the queen’s sober spirit shone as she spoke to the staff and studied the chariots of her late husband.
The Queen has not been photographed riding in public since December last year, although there are reports that she has been making day trips throughout the year.

According to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”, the Queen’s favorite ride is a black pony called CarltonLima Emma, and the routine gives the Queen a sense of freedom and normality.
And earlier this month it confirmed that Prince Philip’s ponies and polished dark green carriage would be transferred to his 17-year-old granddaughter, Lady Louise.
