Manchester City qualified for the final round of the UEFA Champions League, after Algerian Riyad Mahrez scored twice in the return match that brought City to Paris Saint-Germain.
In order for City to put forward to achieve the same two permissions, the difficult championship for him, the number of his local control in the English League during the past years.
City is waiting for the winner of the Real Madrid-Chelsea match to strike a date with him in the final.
If City manages to win the championship, the Algerian international, Riyad Mahrez, will be the fourth Arab and the second Algerian to win the Champions League.
The start was with Rabeh Majer with the Portuguese team Porto in a year 1987During which Mager scored a goal with his heel in the final match to be crowned the owner of the “Golden Heel”. The second Arab came from Morocco, when he was crowned Achraf Hakimi with Real Madrid 2018 But he did not participate in the final match but won the medal.
The last Arab to win the European Champions League was the Egyptian Mohamed Salah in 2019 when Liverpool crowned the heart and Salah scored the goal of progress in the final.
But the Algerian “Majer” beats Hakimi and Salah because he is the only Arab to be crowned with the same ears and a continental championship, when he won the African Nations Cup with Algeria in 1990.
While the Egyptian and Moroccan Arab duo failed to win the African Cup of Nations, and if Mahrez was able to crown with City the Champions League title, his Algerian citizen’s number will be equal to winning the European Champions League and the African Nations Cup, where Mahrez won the title on Egyptian soil in 2019.
He beats “Salah”, who has not been able to achieve a continental championship with the Egyptian national team so far.
