The Portuguese newspaper “Record” revealed in a report today, Tuesday, the destination of Cristiano Ronaldo, the 36-year-old Juventus star, after his contract with the “old lady” expired in the summer of next year.
According to the Portuguese newspaper, Ronaldo decided to complete his current contract with Juventus, and then return to his childhood club, Sporting Lisbon, which he left 18 years ago.
The report added that Ronaldo intends to play in the Lisbon shirt for two seasons before retiring from football at the age of 39.
This comes, in contrast to many recent reports indicating that the player is close to Manchester United or Paris Saint-Germain, or even returning to his former club, Real Madrid.
Ronaldo left Lisbon at the age of 17, where he moved to Manchester United, from there to Real Madrid, and then to Juventus, Italy.
