The funeral ceremony for the great singer Maher Al-Attar ended, at Al-Sayyida Nafisa Mosque, a short while ago. In preparation for his funeral to his final resting place in the family cemetery.
The funeral witnessed the absence of art stars and celebrities, and only a few attended, including the artist Nadia Mustafa, and Al-Ahly club player Hisham Hanafi.
The great singer Maher Al-Attar passed away, on Monday, at the age of 83, after a struggle with illness.
The artist Maher Al-Attar was transferred to the hospital, a few days ago, due to bronchitis and shortness of breath, according to previous statements by his brother’s son.
Maher Al-Attar was born in 1938, and is best known for presenting the popular color, and his most famous songs are “Farrach Your Handkerchief”, “My Moon I”, “Ward El-Ganayen”, and others.
He also presented a number of films, most notably “Banat Bahri”, “Love and Deprivation,” “Beware of Love,” “Me and My Mother,” and “The Sad Melody”.
