The famous Egyptian actor Samir Ghanem and his wife, actress Dalal Abdel Aziz, were hospitalized after their health deteriorated due to infection with the Coronavirus.

Local media reported that the couple were transferred to two hospitals at different times over the past few days.

Dalal and her daughter, actress Donia, were infected with the Corona virus while participating in the filming of a series that was scheduled to be shown in the second half of Ramadan, but it was postponed.

The fame of Ghanem (84 years) was spread through the artistic works of the comedy group “Trio Lights”, before he went on a bus journey that extended to television, theater and cinema.

The Trio of Stage Lights, which featured guest comedians Ahmed and George Sidhoum, was very popular in the 1960s.

The band presented a lot of theatrical, television and radio works, and also participated in the works of major Egyptian movie stars, such as Farid Shawky and Hassan Youssef, until the band’s separation following the death of guest Ahmed, who was behind its founding, in 1970.

Among the troupe’s most prominent theatrical productions are “Tabikh Al-Malaika” and “The Hotel of Hard Labor”. Among the cinematic works that the band participated in, “30 Days in Prison” and “Marriage in the Modern Way.”

Samir Ghanem’s career included films such as “Some Go to the Marriage Officer twice” and “Smart but Stupid”, and plays such as “Married People” and “Professor Mazzika”, and series such as “Mizos Story” and “Captain Judeh.”

As for Dalal Abdel Aziz (61 years old), her films include “The Accused” and “Sorry for the inconvenience”, and the play “My Brothers Hayes and I Lais”, in which her husband participated.

The couple has participated in a number of acts with their daughters, Dina and Amy.
