The Minister of Culture, Dr. Enas Abdel-Dayem, was keen on the funeral of the late artist Samir Ghanem and praying over his body, and was accompanied by his family and loved ones in the graves of Al-Wafa and Al-Amal, where the body was buried, as well as the artist Ali Rabie and Bayoumi Fouad, Sabreen, Dina, Muhammad Osama, Lebleba, Majid Al-Masry, Ahmed Badair, Amr Saad.
Abdel Dayem confirmed that artistic life in Egypt and the Arab world has lost one of the geniuses and an exceptional comic icon who drew pages of joy in the history of theatrical performance.
The Minister offered condolences to his family, friends and loved ones, praying to God that the deceased be blessed with his mercy.
It is noteworthy that Samir Ghanem, born in 1937, graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University, then met with George Sidhom and Guest Ahmed, and together they formed a trio of theater lights who shone through the famous comic sketches, and then the three presented a number of successful films and plays, after the death of the guest. Ahmed performed with George Sidhom several plays, and in the eighties of the twentieth century his star shone in the sky of Fawazir Ramadan, which he presented for several years, in addition to a large number of prominent cinematic, television and theatrical works.
