The Senate approved the proposal of Representative Ahmed Abu Hashima, to amend the rates of fees collected, on every ton of cement and iron sold, in the interest of maximizing the resources of the Engineers Syndicate.
During the plenary session today, Tuesday, the text of the fifth and sixth clauses in Article 45 of the Engineers Syndicate Law was amended, so that it becomes the outcome of a fee of 20 piasters per ton sold of cement production in exchange for supervision and follow-up by the Syndicate members to ensure that the technical specifications are met and approved.
And that the proceeds of a fee of one pound for each sold ton of rebar production in exchange for supervision and follow-up by the union members to ensure that the technical specifications are met and approved.
MP Ahmad Abu Hashima said that the percentage that was set earlier by charging a fee of one in a thousand per ton of cement and every ton of iron sold, the sums collected will be very large, and will be reflected in the price hikes on the consumer to compensate for that percentage.
