Today, Friday, the Omani authorities will begin implementing decisions banning travelers from 14 countries, for an indefinite period, due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
According to the Oman News Agency, the Supreme Committee to Combat Corona in the Sultanate of Oman decided to extend the suspension of entry for those coming from 14 countries due to the spread of the Corona virus.
She emphasized that the banned countries are: “Sudan, Lebanon, South Africa, Brazil, Nigeria, Tanzania, Ghana, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, the United Kingdom, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, in addition to those passing through from those countries during the 14 days prior to their entry into the Sultanate of Oman.” .
Egypt and the Philippines have also added to the list of prohibited countries, as of today and until further notice.
In a statement by “EgyptAir”, it directed that travelers from Egypt will be banned from entering the Sultanate of Oman from today, until further notice, with the exception of Omani citizens, diplomats and health workers, in accordance with the procedures established by the Supreme Committee to Combat Corona.
