Hisham Ibrahim, deputy chairman of the Zamalek club management committee, confirmed that the grievance of Imam Ashour, the player of his team, over the decision to suspend him, had been deliberately hidden by the officials of the Egyptian Football Association.
Ibrahim indicated in statements on the Sada Al-Balad channel that Zamalek coach Patrice Carteron continues in his position despite the recent decline in the team’s match results.
Ibrahim said: “Zamalek’s grievance against Imam Ashour’s punishment has been hidden from the Appeal Committee, in favor of whom ?, an investigation must be opened into the incident, and you must not provoke Zamalek fans.”
He continued, “When a goalkeeper is suspended from a club and then his penalty is reduced to participate in a continental match for the team, and a number of players are suspended for 12 games, for whose benefit?”
He concluded: “Carteron continues in his position as technical director of Zamalek, we are not held accountable by piece.”
