Zamalek: Greisha did not apologize to Abdel Hafeez for doing what he wanted

Ibrahim Abdullah, a member of the Executive Committee of Zamalek Club, confirmed that the statement made by Sayed Abdel Hafeez, Al-Ahly football director, assured him that the Egyptian arbitration was fine, as he described.

Abdullah indicated in statements on Ontime Sports that Ahmed Mujahid, Chairman of the Football Association’s Management Committee, was working on what he described as the “persecution” of Zamalek Club through the decisions it made recently.

Abdullah said: “I thank Sayed Abdel Hafeez, who confirmed that the Egyptian referee is fine and that Jihad Greisha apologizes to him after every match, but I assure you that he did not apologize after meeting Pyramids because he did what you wanted.”

Sayed Abdel Hafeez, the football director at Al-Ahly, had confirmed in previous statements that the referee, Jihad Greisha, always apologized to him after the mistakes he made during his management of matches.

Abdullah added: “I hope from Ahmed Mujahid that he – remove Zamalek from his brain – we have the Olympics and World Cup qualifiers and the African Nations Cup. We should focus on them and not persecute Zamalek and choose controversial rulers.”

He continued: “Zamalek is not an orphan, and his administration can defend him. We do not know why the Football Association ignored our appeal against Imam Ashour’s punishment.”

He concluded: “We demand that the regulations be applied to everyone. How does a referee apologize to the football director in a competing club? This means that there is no football in Egypt in the first place, and therefore an investigation must be launched into the incident.”
