Zamalek: Imam Ashour’s grievance was “hidden” from the Appeals Committee, and we will not leave our right


Hisham Ibrahim, Vice President of Zamalek Club, confirmed that the committee will not leave the club’s right, and said: “If the federation wants to give the league to a specific club, it must inform the clubs because of the huge expenses that they bear.”

He added in televised statements: “We are subjected to injustice from most of the federations, and we will not leave the club’s right. We are men of law and the judiciary. Are laws and regulations enacted to punish Zamalek only, excluding other clubs?”

Regarding the Hand Union’s statement, he said: “There are 4 teams in the Hand Cup, and we do not know who will qualify for the final, and yet Al-Ahly was counted as champion of the Cup last season .. There must be fair criteria, and there is collusion and the grievance of Zamalek in favor of Imam Ashour was hidden from the appeal committee.” .

He added: “Stopping activity in Zamalek! The council is in permanent session, and everyone will know the decisions and everything is possible and on the table, and Carton continues in his post, and football has a win, a draw and a loss.”

In a related context, the committee in charge of managing Zamalek club denied the reports that the club did not submit a grievance to reduce the punishment of Imam Ashour, the first team football player in the club, and the committee denounces the reports of the Football Association Appeal Committee and the false allegations made by some, stressing that it will not stand idly by In front of the club’s injustice attempts, especially since the committee submitted an appeal against Imam Ashour’s punishment on the appointed date, in addition to another grievance against the five youth team separately.

The committee received a letter from the Football Association regarding the legality of Imam Ashour’s participation in the matches, and the association’s response came not to allow the player to participate in matches until after a decision is made on the appeal submitted by the club.

The committee wonders if the collective act is one, how can the punishment be uneven among the players, and Imam Ashour gets 12 matches suspended, and the club’s official website publishes all documents confirming his progress in the appeal, sending it by fax as well as by hand, notifying the union manager of the file in full and sending him a copy as well.

The Disciplinary Committee of the Egyptian Football Association issued its decisions regarding the necessary penalties in the widespread video incident of a number of Zamalek players within the team born in 1999.

The penalties included the suspension of Imam Ashour for 12 matches and a fine of 200 thousand pounds, in addition to the suspension of 5 other youths, 8 matches, and a fine of 100,000 pounds for each of them.
