The General Administration of Nile Water Affairs at the Sudanese Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources announced its expectations for a rise in the levels of the Setit River and the Atbara and Setit dams until the city of Atbara.
The ministry indicated, in a press statement on Saturday, that the Ethiopian Electricity Company announced the start of emptying the Tekeze Dam on the Sett River, and expected that this would lead to a significant rise in the levels of the Setit River and the levels in front and behind the Upper Atbara and Setit dams, and in front and behind the Khashm El-Girba reservoir until the city of Atbara. .
The Sudanese Ministry of Irrigation called on Sudanese citizens in those areas to take the necessary precautions to preserve their lives and property.
