Ahmed Al-Mohammadi, the star of the national team, and the former Aston Villa club, confirmed that he spent 4 successful seasons with the English team before the end of his contract.

Ahmed Al-Mohammadi said, in television statements, that “Aston Villa presented an excellent season in the English Premier League, in the last season,” adding: “The desire of the Aston Villa management to renew the team’s blood is behind not renewing my contract.”

He added, “Having Trezeguet, in the ranks of Aston Villa, was an excellent thing for me,” adding: “The future of Trezeguet, in Aston Villa, is great.”

He pointed out: “Mohamed Salah (Baladiati), and the relationship between us is excellent and very strong, and he is like my brother,” adding: “It is better for Salah to stay in the ranks of Liverpool.”

Regarding his next destination, Ahmed Al-Mohammadi said: “I have received many offers from European and Gulf countries in the past period, but I would like to continue in Europe.”

He continued, “I would like to continue my career as a player in England and then go through the coaching experience after retiring.”
He pointed out: “Being a fan of Al-Ahly since childhood, makes me a permanent candidate to join the Red Club,” adding: “I received offers from Al-Ahly and Zamalek in earlier times, but I preferred to continue my professional career.”

Regarding his career with the national team: “I am very satisfied with my international career with the national team and I respect Hossam Al-Badri’s view of renewal,” adding: “Hossam Al-Badri’s policy in changing the team’s blood will have a positive return in the future.”

He explained: “I am not convinced of giving the leadership badge to any club or team according to seniority.

He pointed out that Mohamed Hani is a young and promising player, but the team needs experts in the right-back position, noting that Ramadan Sobhi hastened his decision to cut his professional career in England, and return to Egypt.
