Al-Ittihad qualified for the Basketball Super League final after beating Al-Ahly 76-73, in the third match that was held between them in the semi-final matches of the competition.
The original time of the match ended in a tie between the two teams, 64-64, after the last moments witnessed a technical error on Al-Ahly team to object to the referees.
Al-Ittihad succeeded in imposing its control over the extra time and advanced in the result 72-64, before Al-Ahly returned to the match, but the experience of the Alexandrian players decided matters in their favor in the match.
The match witnessed the return of the arbitration staff to the IRS video technology, during the extra time of the match, where Al-Ahly player Amr Al-Jundi scored a hat-trick, but the referee calculated it with two points, but the referees returned to the video to decide to calculate the game with three.
Thus, Al-Ittihad qualifies for the Basketball Super League final and awaits the winner of the second match between Al-Jazira and Zamalek in the Super League semi-finals.
