Dr. Manal Awad, Governor of Damietta, announced the launch of the “Women-Friendly Cities” program from Ezbet El-Borg next Saturday, a program implemented by the United Nations.

Awad says: The inauguration of the program will be attended by Dr. Maya Morsi, President of the Council for Women, and Ambassador Christian Berger, head of the European Union delegation, and his wife, Marilyna Berger. Public Egypt in Ezbet El-Burj, as well as photographing 20 women in preparation for handing them over the national ID cards at Ezbet El-Borg Primary Girls School as part of the council’s initiative to issue national ID cards for incapable women, breadwinners, widows and girls for the first time, free of charge and without fines, then inspect the council’s exhibition of wooden and handicraft products And furnishings, with the participation of the women of the “Sit Al-Dar” initiative, which was launched by the Equal Opportunities Unit in partnership with the Council, for a variety of sweets, pastries, dairy products and other food products.

She added: The Women-Friendly Cities project is the product of fruitful cooperation with the National Council for Women and with a grant from the United Nations, “un woman.” It is implemented in the vicinity of the Egyptian Public Library in Ezbet El-Borg. To the highest standards to provide all the different services for women and their children in the city and the entire Damietta governorate, implement successive educational and training plans in various crafts, as well as provide opportunities and marketing prospects for their products with the aim of economic empowerment.
