The Brazilian national team maintained its unbeaten record and defeated its guest, Ecuador, 2-0 yesterday evening (Saturday morning GMT) in the fifth round of the South American qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.
The Brazilian national team’s goals were scored by Richarlison in the 65th minute and Neymar from a penalty kick in the fourth minute of overtime for the match.
The Brazilian team raised its score with this victory to 15 points, achieving the full mark in the five matches it has played in the qualifiers so far.
Ecuador’s balance stopped at nine points in third place, after its second defeat in the qualifiers, compared to winning two matches.
