Zamalek coach Patrice Carteron has played down the news and rumors circulated on social media platforms about his team’s players, or potential deals.
In statements to “On Time Sports 1”, Carteron said about his team’s potential deals: “Everything that is said in the social media makes me laugh. The Zamalek administration is working in secrecy and will not announce any deal before it happens.”
Patrice added: “No one knew about the negotiations to renew the winch contract until after the renewal was announced. This is how Zamalek is managed now, and therefore anything will be announced after its completion.”
And Carteron continued, “I have been working with the team for 3 months, and the fruits of the work are starting to appear now. I am happy with the performance in front of the clearing, despite knowing that there were mistakes, but in the end I feel satisfied.”
On the clip of his embrace with Imam Ashour, the team’s player, Patrice said: “The player suffers from pressure after the departure of Ferjani Sassi, and he is still a young player. The performance affected him in the first half, but the matter changed in the second half, and he is an important player for us.”
And Carteron added: “Our goal is to win the Egypt Cup, in addition to winning all the remaining matches in the league, because when Al-Ahly returns to the league, we will not look at its results and we will focus only on winning.”
And Carteron concluded: “I leave the announcement of deals and the renewal of player contracts to the club president. I feel happy and comfortable in Zamalek, and I strive to win titles with the team.”
