Al-Ahly plays 5 matches during the Olympics, while Zamalek plays its matches normally without delay until July 5, before it stops playing until the delays are completed.
The league is expected to end during the last week of August, according to the Football Association’s plan.
Zamalek will return to the league on June 17 after the end of the international break against Aswan in the 26th round, while Al-Ahly will not play that round due to the two confrontations with Esperance in the African Champions League semi-finals.
Al-Ahly returns to the league in the 27th round, facing Pyramids today July 1 at Al Salam Stadium Instead of July 2, while Zamalek faces Egypt for clearing at the Army Stadium in Suez two days before.
Then Al-Ahly will face Smouha in Alexandria on July 4, Arab Contractors in Petrosport on July 8 in a postponed match, and Misr El-Maqassa in Suez on July 11, and with the possibility of reaching the final of the African Champions League on July 17, it will resume its matches during the Olympics period.
In the same period, Zamalek will face Mahalla in Cairo on July 5, and then stop playing until the tournament delays are completed.
Al-Ahly matches during the Olympics
Al-Ahly is expected to face the National Bank in Al Salam Stadium on July 22, then El Entag El Harby on the same stadium on July 25, then Aswan in Aswan on July 29, then Wadi Tigris at Al Salam Stadium on August 2, and Ceramica Cleopatra on the same stadium on August 5 .
In the 29th round, Al-Ahly Zamalek will have played an equal number of matches, to play all the following rounds normally with the rest of the league teams.
Al-Ahly will face Ismaili at Alexandria Stadium on August 9, while Al-Ittihad will host Zamalek at the same stadium two days before this date, on August 7, and this will be the first match for Zamalek in the league since facing Al-Mahalla in Cairo on July 5.
The Football Association aims to end the league on August 26, with the dates of the last three rounds before it, to take into account equal opportunities for determining the champion or the sides of the golden square, and the relegated.
Zamalek leads the league with 55 points from 25 games, while Al-Ahly is second with 41 points from 19 games.
