FilGoal | News | Dialogue – Sirino reveals why he wants to play for Al-Ahly… and the current status of negotiations

Justin Sirino, the Mamelodi Sundowns player, revealed the reason for his desire to play for Al-Ahly Club, and the current status of negotiations.

Sereno said in statements to Ontime Sports 1: “My contract with Sundowns expires after two seasons, and my relationship is great with Al-Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane, and he included me in Sundowns. But I have not communicated with him for a while because of the circumstances.”

He added, “I hope that negotiations will be easier if negotiations are renewed between Al-Ahly and Sundowns to include me. I will try to connect the two administrations to each other and bring their views closer because this is my dream to play in Al-Ahly as a team with a great history in Africa and internationally.”

He continued, “There are no contacts at the moment, but there were contacts earlier. I pray to God that the Sundowns administration will be more flexible this time if negotiations are renewed.”

The Uruguayan player continued, “I don’t care about age because I feel that my physical fitness is excellent, and I work on myself well, so I don’t worry about the age factor.”

He continued, “In my Al-Ahly match, our coach did not give me the space to appear more offensively, but I think I played well.”

On the reason for his insistence on playing for Al-Ahly, he said, “Why Al-Ahly? Because it is one of the best clubs on the continent and in the world and has a great history, and it appears well in all the tournaments it enters. Therefore, playing for Al-Ahly is a dream for me.”

And he continued, “I cannot be sure who has the greatest chance of winning the Champions League final this season. I wish the two teams success.”

Sereno completed, “The one I liked the most in Al-Ahly? The left wing, who plays offensively sometimes, but I do not remember his name now.”

The 30-year-old made 27 appearances this season. He scored 5 goals and assisted three others.
