Hamad Ibrahim, the general coach of the Ismaili team, believes that the amendments to the Egyptian league table recently announced by the Federation are related to Al-Ahly’s African journey and are not final.
Hamad Ibrahim told FilGoal.com: “The amendments are compressed and made Al-Ismaili face Al-Ahly, and 48 hours after him, Zamalek.”
“It is not a problem, we will play if those dates are settled,” he added.
Ismaily will meet Al-Ahly on August 9, then on August 12, with Zamalek in the league.
He continued, “In general, we will not think about those dates, they are just observations because all that matters to us at the moment are the next 3 matches.”
He explained, “Facing Ghazl El-Mahalla is difficult because it is an organized team with a distinguished technical staff, and the difficulty of the match increases in that both teams are looking for victory and 3 points.
“The next two matches will be against Smouha and Al-Ittihad of Alexandria,” he added.
He concluded, “We seek to continue the victories, as we still want the team to get out completely from the area that does not fit its name and search for its best place in the current difficult season.”
Ismaily occupies 13th place in the league with 29 points from 24 rounds.
Ismaily will host Ghazl El-Mahalla in round 26, after the league resumes.
